A wedding reception at the Ramada Toms River, NJ was where Suzanne, myself and Sounds to Go DJs rang in 2012.  Jason and Melissa made it easy to enjoy the night and we had a amazing day with them.  Who better to tell you about the day then the bride herself?  Enjoy reading Melissa’s account on their big day and some of our favorite shots.  Congratulations to the Jay and Melissa!  CLB wishes you countless more New Years Eve’s together.

“Jay and I got engaged off the shore of Drubovnik, Croatia in June 2010 so we needed a date that made a statement as well.  New Years Eve happened to fall on a Saturday this year (2011), so we went for it and book the Ramada Toms River, NJ for the reception.  We are both super type A and booked everything immediately.  We seemed to book the first things that came to us because they were perfect; dress, venue, DJ, photographer, etc. CLB came to us as a recommendation and the fantastic photos and the fact that no other company paid as much attention to us made the decision easy.  And it has paid off.

The day of the wedding was super relaxing, contrary to what most people think or experience.  Sue and Chris were there every step to make sure we really were relaxed and offered fun photo ops that we may not have otherwise gotten.  They got a huge group shot of our massive families, and the sun stayed up long enough to get some fun romantic shots at Georgian Court.  They even shared some shots with us during the day so we could see what they were trying to achieve.  They also thrive off of the quirky things, and incorporate them into their photos.  The inscription on Jay’s ring is “One ring,” a tribute to Lord of the Rings (and of course the fact that he will only wear one ring for the rest of his life!) and they did something awesome with the rings and the Pez dispensers I got Jay as a joke.

I love to go through old photographs and remember what was happening at that moment.  I can’t wait to go through these photos throughout the years, with our future children, and then our grandchildren.   Although, I might have to explain why Daddy did the “worm” and what it means to “Tebow”…”
